The case report of myocarditis caused by COVID-19

Introduction. Myocarditis is known to occur in 5–25 % of COVID-19 cases and associated with increased mortality. According studies, even a mild course high risk cardiovascular disease. Possible mechanisms myocarditis are combination direct viral damage the myocardium human immune response affected myocardium. Along acute manifestations, as fulminant myocarditis, may also be an long-term complications. Case report discussion. The article presents case that developed five weeks after active coronovirus infection patient I., 47 years old, Ukraine, Kyiv. She described such symptoms palpitations, shortness breath, fever, general malaise. magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) heart: signs focal myocarditis; according laboratory tests, increase level phase indicators; Holter monitoring electrocardiogram (HM ECG) – AV blockade II degree (Mobitz II). was prescribed : eplerinone, bisoprolol fumorate, rivaroxaban, trimetazidine. After four months treatment, condition gradually improved. Positive dynamics revealed HM ECG MRI heart. Thus, diagnosed consequences coronavirus myocarditis. Conclusions. Coronavirus causes myocardial development can develop both period disease long term. Scientists physicians should pay attention possible from first contact patient, conduct follow-up patients
